Sockpuppetry? = edit

Please explain why your edit history shows you are expending a lot of effort creating complex userpages and multiple subpages as User:Jnr.void. Did you create it? And why did you start editing it 5 minutes after its creation when that account had not made any edits of its own, or sought assistance?

Stick to editing your own userpages from now on, or face an investigation and possible block for running multiple accounts (SEE WP:SOCKPUPPETRY). After my lengthy words of advice the other day, I am very disappointed to see this unusual editing behaviour from you. It's up to you to demonstrate whether you are genuinely here to help build an encyclopedia, so cease playing around with userpages, and start doing something constructive in mainspace. I'm afraid I'm now starting to have my doubts about your motives here. Please prove me wrong. Nick Moyes (talk) 10:03, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

a friend of mine from school asked me to create their page for them as they have restrictions on their computer account as i go to a special needs school.

hope this helps - JJBullet (Talk) 11:07, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks for that explanation. I think you should stop now. New editors do learn by doing things themselves, and it does look very odd when they've not done anything yet themselves. Make new pages only when they need it. It has been pointed out that you have put up a lot of personal information (email/websites etc) on your own user page and we advise against this for young editors. (See WP:YOUNG. Have you not been told about the risks of this in school? My advice is to remove it, and we can then arrange to have it permanently deleted for your safety and protection. Would you agree? Yep that sounds good ill change it right away - JJBullet (Talk) 07:52, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK, thanks for that. I've just emailed an admin to request revdel, which is a sensible thing to do.
Look, I'm also going to ask you to stop signing up to volunteer for things. I love to see keenness, but there are limits, and I've already advised you to slow down. You have still only made twenty edits to mainspace articles since you arrived here, yet you've just signed up as a Teahouse host (I can live with that, providing you only respond to things you can genuinely help on) and you've signed up to help as a programmer for the translation task force in WP:WikiProject Medicine! You are clearly not competent in this field, and I've removed your entry. I think you should also delete your name, too, from the 'simple english' table. I see no evidence of community organising skills here, and I've no idea what an 'integrator' is, do you? You promised me you would slow down, but I'm not seeing that happening. I'd love to see you making small but worthwhile edits to articles, not fooling around offering your services when you aren't yet experienced enough to deliver them. Best wishes, Nick Moyes (talk) 11:43, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I would suggest that you revert vandalism on Wikipedia. You can enroll yourself in WP:CVUA and an experienced user will help you become a vandal fighter. I understand Nick told you to stop signing up for things, but I think this would be a great experience for you to learn how to do things in the mainspace. When I got unblocked in January 2019, I made sure that what I was doing is for the benefit of the encyclopedia. I did the WP:CVUA course and I graduated from there. If you can emulate my contributions, you can become a successful editor. Pinging @Nick Moyes: if he would like to chime in. Interstellarity (talk) 15:48, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

April 2019 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia:TWA/InviteTW, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Ok Sorry - JJBullet (Talk) 07:52, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Requesting Page Protection edit

Hey JJ! Just so you know, users who have been blocked do not need to have their userpages or talk pages protected. Admins can revoke talk page permissions if they abuse their talk page (i.e. edit it for reasons other than requesting an unblock). Also, your .js pages are already protected by default - only admins can edit them (and they won't). Dusti*Let's talk!* 11:20, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you use Twinkle, the TW tab offers you a drop-down list. Go to the top one, marked 'ARV', then under 'select report type' choose the second option, i.e. Username (WP:UAA) and you have tick boxes to select one or more of the reasons for reporting an inappropriate username. We tend not to report usernames for being misleading or promotional if they've shown no signs yet of editing. By the way, did you know black text on a dark grey background is very hard to read? If you can keep it your talk page white, or at least a much lighter tone, you'll make others not have to struggle to read it so much. Cheers, Nick Moyes (talk) 11:59, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
