Image source problem with Image:University of Agriculture Faisalababd.JPG edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:University of Agriculture Faisalababd.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Naohiro19 revertvandal (talk) 08:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Saadat Hasan Manto.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Saadat Hasan Manto.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:13, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mitti Aadam Khati Hai edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Mitti Aadam Khati Hai, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:21, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mitti Aadam Khati Hai edit

Please don't remove the maintenance tags from this article until after the problems they describe are solved. I looked the author up and saw that he was a notable author, but the article needs to be written in the style of a neutral encyclopedia article, not a praise-filled book review. Book reviews are good, but they aren't what an encyclopedia needs. If you don't know how to do that, just leave the tags in place, so that the article can come to the attention of some other editor who can help. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:05, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Fateh M. Malik: Shakhsiat-o-Fuun edit

A tag has been placed on Fateh M. Malik: Shakhsiat-o-Fuun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Lamhon Ka Lams (Nasmain), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.hameedshahid.com/lamhoonbook.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please respond edit

I need to know whether you are receiving and understanding this message, so please respond. Wikipedia is happy to have new articles about Urdu literature, so I'm glad that you are interested in creating them. But the articles you are creating do not follow our rule requiring neutral point of view. An encyclopedia article should be very simple, and contain only the facts, without praise or condemnation. An example of a better article on an Urdu writer is Saadat Hasan Manto. Your articles have only a few facts, and much praise. Because we need new articles about Urdu literature, I would rather that you learn how to write an encyclopedia article, and I do not want to block you from editing. But I need to see that you are trying to understand the rules and follow them. Thank you. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:43, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fateh M. Malik: Shakhsiat-o-Fuun edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Fateh M. Malik: Shakhsiat-o-Fuun, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for making edits which, while made in good faith, do not meet the neutrality requirement, and refusing either to write more encyclopedically or to respond to warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:55, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry to have to block you, because I can see that you are knowledgeable about Urdu literature, and want to help make the encyclopedia better. But I tried asking you to discuss it with us, and you ignored my request, creating more articles which are not encyclopedia articles but book reviews. The purpose of this short block is to give you time to read the notability criteria and the neutral point of view policy, and perhaps to look at some models of what a good literature article should look like]. I hope that, when your block expires, you'll still want to add to Wikipedia's collection of articles about Urdu writers, and know how to do that in a way that works within Wikipedia's rules. Thanks. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:55, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Band Ankhoon Se Pery.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Band Ankhoon Se Pery.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:28, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Lamhoon Ka Lams.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Lamhoon Ka Lams.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 14:05, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Mohammad Hameed Shahid.JPG edit

Thank you for uploading File:Mohammad Hameed Shahid.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:41, 28 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 02:41, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
