Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Ipinfo.io! Thank you for your contributions. I am Missvain and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Discover what's going on in the Wikimedia community
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Missvain (talk) 05:43, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Your username
editWelcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Template:Ipinfo, and I noticed that your username, "Ipinfo.io", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Ahecht (TALK

editYou should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 04:33, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

- Considering that you're not permitted to promote your site here in any form (and I've nuked all the templates you've created to promote it), what are your editing plans if unblocked? Max Semenik (talk) 07:06, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- Considering that your editing before the block appeared to be preparing to use Wikipedia for promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia policy, you will need to provide a satisfactory answer to MaxSem's question if you are to be unblocked. - Also, it is obvious from your first contributions from this account that you are not a novice user. Would you like to reveal details of your previous activity here?--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 10:15, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- My suggestion was to link to more details when we show an IP, and explicitly suggested using alternative sources on the talk page. Also not sure why you think I'm not a novice user. See how many edits it took me on the template (and how much reading of the docs) to get it to work property. I don't have any further editing plans, but it'd be nice to keep a single account rather than having to create new ones, especially seeing as you already did the rename. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.31.101 (talk) 14:09, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
