Articles on Wikipedia are subject to Wikipedia's rules around writing style, links, formatting and the like. You're not at liberty to replace the article with something that sounds like it should be in the band's own press kit instead of in an encyclopedia, nor are you allowed to tell other editors what they are or aren't allowed to do with "your" article.
