Welcome

edit

Hello Murphmeister. Welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your post on the Queensland talk page. Good on you for having a go at it. You might also try to muster up some support for your efforts at the Australian Wikipedians Notice Board. You'll also find plenty of helpful people there who will be able to help out with questions you might have about wiki. If you're familiar with Brisbane, you might also want to swing past the Brisbane WikiProject. You might also find some folk there who might be willing to help out with the Queensland article. If you haven't already, you may want to check out the useful links at WP:Welcome and familiarise yourself with some of the principles and guidelines. Happy editing. -- Adz|talk 15:28, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

PS. I should also have mentioned, in case you haven't discovered it already, You can sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (Adz|talk 15:38, 17 July 2006 (UTC)); this will automatically produce your name and the date. -- Adz|talk 15:38, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Brisbane

edit

Just a reminder that WikiProject Brisbane needs your help. There have been a number of changes to the project page over recent days and I hope you could spare some time to take a look, be bold and add some touches yourself.

There is plenty that needs to be done to get more Brisbane articles up to FA standard. Please come and discuss this and lets see if we can build up this project.

LNP Party Colours

edit

Hi there. I have reverted your changes to these templates, as I believe we need more discussion before making such a dramatic change to a widely visible template. I have also started a discussion here to see if there is a consensus to change the colour or maintain the status quo - your input would be welcome and appreciated. I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:57, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notification of automated file description generation

edit

Your upload of File:Caltabiano and Car 2.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Proposed deletion of File:Michael Caltabiano.jpg

edit

The file File:Michael Caltabiano.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with File:Caltabiano and Car 2.jpg

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Caltabiano and Car 2.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:07, 24 October 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — MATRIX! (a good person!)[Citation not needed at all; thank you very much!] 13:07, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
