Haifa edit

Hi Ilya! I have made some edits to your transportation-related additions, and reverted your changes in the article Haifa. Please don't take offense at this, as your other edits are very good and I know you are knowledgeable in this field (from Tapuz, among other places). The problem is that the previous version in the Haifa article was much more well-written, sourced and organized. On Wikipedia, we generally prefer writing prose to making bulleted lists, small sections, short paragraphs, etc. For example, you don't need a section to write two lines about the Carmelit, and writing more would violate WP:UNDUE.

Again, I hope you didn't take offense to my revert, and feel free to discuss all edits at Talk:Haifa! See you on Tapuz (although I hope you edit Wikipedia more too!).

Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 23:36, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cheers and request edit

Hi again! Cheers for adding info to a bunch of articles on Israeli transportation! Months ago I asked for help with this task on the Tapuz forum, but no one helped at the time. If you have more time for Wikipedia, I am asking you to please look at all Israeli transportation-related articles, especially the bus companies. Some of them are not up to date, and all of them are lacking proper prose (i.e. text instead of endless lists). Hope to hear from you! Ynhockey (Talk) 22:11, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Egged Ta'avura edit

A tag has been placed on Egged Ta'avura requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Unpopular Opinion (talk · contribs) 06:25, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to restore the article with a bit more content/links to assert notability. I don't think you should've been so hasty in placing the tag, but no harm done in the long term. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:22, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Egged Ta'avura edit

I meant that Unpopular Opinion placed the tag hastily, but whatever, hopefully no one tries to delete the article again (Fatal!ty already placed a tag again, which Gwen Gale removed - see page history). Please try to add more info and sources so that notability is clearly established, otherwise someone might take the article to AfD later. I'm glad you wish to stay on Wikipedia and learn the way it works! Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 19:01, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Erik Bernholm edit

The article Erik Bernholm has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. j⚛e deckertalk 04:00, 29 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
