Vacuum pic edit

Hi. Thanks for editing the Electrolux page. Sorry to say, but I removed the picture of one of the company's early products that you added. Unfortunately, on some small computer screens such as my own, it's large size relative to the existing, smaller picture causes the text to directly abut the photo. Also, it depicts a product that, while one of Electrolux's early vacuum models, isn't discussed in the section. I encourage you to contribute to the page in the future but please keep in mind the above worries when doing so! I apologize of being so blunt, and I hope it won't discourage you from further editing of Wikipedia, the Electrolux page included. Your contributions are appreciated even if they get pruned. Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:44, 11 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

You reverted multiple edits on the article on The Hoover Company. This behaviour is not helpful or appropriate.

You are not very clear as to why references to patents are so 'special' to merit different treatment, with no reader guidance as to what the external page is. You have also failed to explain why this article should not comply with the standards, other than your personal preference which you seem intent on imposing whatever anyone else may think.

Please note:

  • You reverted edits to errors in the article, such as incorrect capitalistion
  • You deleted valid and helpful information, such as what the patents were
  • You deleted additional patent links that had been added
  • You do not own the article. Although you may have your personal preferences, there are Wikipedia policies to ensure that articles are readable and appropriate. Please see WP:OWN.

Further revertions of legitimate edits will begin to look very much like vandalism. I should in particular draw your attention to the Three Revert Rule, as you are now on the verge of being in contravention of it.

Please do continue to contribute to Wikipedia, but in a helpful and constructive - not destructive - way.

A couple more comments if I may?
Since you started editing The Hoover Company on 30 September, you have not tolerated any alterations by other edits. Why is this?
In one of you revertions, your edit summary included "I don't mind your other edits on capitals and such" - do you feel your permission or agreement is required for any edits to this article?
I'll make it very clear - Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and forcing your particular views over and above established community consensus is very inappropriate behaviour. Please cease the reversion of legitimate edits.

INTV1980: I apologize, Mauls. I will not act so recklessly. Thank you.

P.S. I haven't done anything with other people's alternations. I do not know what you're talking about. I only changed some of yours. I will not in the future.

Non-free rationale for File:Hoover ad (1957).jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hoover ad (1957).jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
