Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Cape Hatteras Secondary School has been reverted.
Your edit here to Cape Hatteras Secondary School was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=119053364807283&id=100000412165282) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Hurricane Irene and school closures

edit

I am not disputing that many schools had to cancel classes for the hurricane. However, going to each school's Wikipedia article and adding that information is contrary to the policy that Wikipedia is not news. It would the equivalent of going to each school's aritcle and saying when the school was cancelled for snow days, etc. It's trivial information about the school.

Now, where it could be considered relevant is the the article about the hurricane itself. You can think about improving the content at Hurricane Irene (2011)#Precautions. If you are not an auto-confirmed user yet, and cannot edit a protected page, make an {{editrequest}} on the article's talk page. Singularity42 (talk) 17:30, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Alright, thankyou. I added it back and I am doing major work on the page. Please do not delete it again. i will explain latter why it is notable.--HurricaneIrene2011 (talk) 17:46, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
