Edit Summary Request

edit

I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 16:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please do not forget to fill in your edit summaries. Kukini 17:01, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries can really help here

edit

I have to revert one of your changes[1] to Family Guy. There might be good reason to delete the Theme song section, but because you provided no Edit summary, we have nothing to go on.

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. / edgarde 21:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Hildufrox4! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 891 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Bobb'e J. Thompson - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Savannah Stehlin - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
