  Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to 6 Dogs, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello, I am very close with 6 Dogs' producer Pretty Pacc and all edits I make are adequate and accurate. HiResolutionEdits (talk) 22:35, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 6 Dogs. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 22:36, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

In that case, you should avoid editing the page per our COI policies. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 22:37, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yoshi, my friend Chase (6 Dogs) has passed and would not like Tommy Ice to be promoted on his wikipedia. I would like no more problems. Thank you. HiResolutionEdits (talk) 22:38, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello,
6 Dogs does not get to dictate what gets to go on his page or not. That is a violation of our WP:OWN policy. In addition, you are failing to follow our COI guidelines given that you have indeed said you are related to him/his friend. Also, all of your changes need to be sourced. I have not seen you provide a single source for your edits, as well as the fact that you are reverting edits without explaining why in the edit summary, as well. Please heed this warning. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (mobile) (talk) (Very Busy) 05:30, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
You are violating Wikipedia promotion guidelines: Tommy Ice's promotion is completely promotional and does not fit the page. 6 Dog's is not a friend of mine nor was a friend of mine personally, thus I do not violate COI. HiResolutionEdits (talk) 05:39, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have told Yoshi24517 is violating wikipedia guidelines by maintaining that his sponsor Yoshi be promoted on 6 Dog's page. HiResolutionEdits (talk) 05:32, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edits on Vivek Ramaswamy

There is a three revert rule, if you disagree with content on a page, please start a discussion on the talk page rather than edit warring, ty. A Socialist Trans Girl 10:50, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Since your revision and prior edits are in clear violation of Wikipedia policy, this matter will have to be escalated to a point where this page in question is void of partisan bias moving forward. For example, in this page, it is stated that Ramaswamay called himself a "scientist" and that information was quoted: this is false and a severe violation of policy. Secondly, an assumption of Vivek's motive to appeal to the Evangelical Christian base is a truth claim that is unsubstantiated: this user is wanting to assert a subjective, partisan talking point. I will start here in efforts to compromise, although there are other explicitly partisan claims being made. HiResolutionEdits (talk) 11:02, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you have disagreement with the content of the article and remove it, which someone disputes, please discuss it on the talk page instead of edit warring. Thanks. A Socialist Trans Girl 11:13, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

@HiResolutionEdits Please note that this means you are required to be civil at all times while discussing topics related to recent American politics, including talk pages. Also read WP:NOTFORUM so that you understand talk pages are not places to discuss the subject of an article. Doug Weller talk 14:39, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Vivek Ramaswamy) for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 11:54, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Article talk pages: Content, not conduct

edit

Hi HiResolutionEdits, regarding your message at Talk:Vivek Ramaswamy, please focus on the article content when writing on article talk pages.

As these are about content, not user conduct, meta discussions about who made an edit or why, or who is currently in contact with a moderator and why are unnecessary ("No meta").

Thanks! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:53, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
