Help me!

Please help me with creating a new page for a friend of mine who is a playwrite and an author. Where do I go to start the page? I have read the do's and dont's. I need to now start the page. Which URL do I use?

Hello! First of all, a word of warning, writing an article about someone you are close to can be very difficult and frustrating. Because you are a good friend, you will have a natural bias in their favour. This will make it harder to write neutrally, evaluate notability objectively and take criticism well. However, if you are sure you can handle it and the topic is notable, go to wp:AfC and follow the steps there. This way you will get feedback from an experienced editor before your article goes to mainspace. This reduces the chances of quick deletion. Also, on the talk page of the draft, state that you are a friend of the subject. That way your connection is out in the open from the start. Best of luck! Thanks. I am new to all this so bear with me as I find my way around things. How do I hand over the editing controls to a friend? Can I just let them have the URL / title of the article?
