Proposed deletion of Aegean Republic

edit

The article Aegean Republic has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is Crystal Ballery at best.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Drmies (talk) 23:34, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Aegean Republic

edit

I have deleted this article as a result of the deletion debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aegean Republic. You should have been told of this debate, and I apologise that you were not. If you wish to challenge the result of the debate, the place to do that is WP:Deletion review, but I must tell you that in my opinion the article had no chance of being kept, because it went against fundamental Wikipedia policies including:

  • WP:Verifiability: "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."
  • WP:No original research: "Wikipedia does not publish original research. The term "original research" refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and stories—not already published by reliable sources."
  • Wikipedia is not a crystal ball: "Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation... Articles that present extrapolation, speculation, and "future history" are original research and therefore inappropriate"
