Could you shed some light why my user page was marked for deletion? Was it because of a large number of userbox additions? Was this some type of bot designation? --Gil-galad1 14:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
No, it's the {{User:CharonX/Userboxes/User christian}} template that had been deleted, and has been marked with a tag that to notify that it has been protected to prevent re-creation. If you put a deleted ub in your user page, one of the codes in the template — which in this case is {{PAGENAME}} will mark the name of the page that the template is implemented in. Usually, if your user page is listed for deletion (which will most likely never happen, though a subpage of your user page may, depending on the content), there will be a note in your talk page notifying that.
All userboxes expressing POV a.k.a. beliefs and other related items of interests were migrated to archives of various users' subpages per the German userbox solution that took effect several months ago. This was the compromise made by Pro-Userbox and Anti-Userbox factions in the Userbox War, which you can read an essay on it here. Also, here is the navigation box to the userboxes that were moved per GUS:
Hope this clears up everything! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.:) (BTW, if you could vote in the poll located in the discussion page of WP:Me as a member, it'd be great!) —Mirlen 20:34, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for clearing things up-- I was really puzzled. I'll try to avoid taking side in the Userbox War, it seems pointless and self-destructive. Are you an admin, or a very prominent project member? --Gil-galad1 18:45, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I apologize for the late reply and I also apologize for confusing you. The Userbox War is over but the essay was written during the war.
*laughs* No, I'm not an admin, and I'm not sure I can call myself a "very prominent project member," but my role in WP:Me has developed into being a "team collaborator," to borrow Deck's phrase, and as a member, I try to be as active as I can. —Mirlen 18:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
