Joe Goodstein

edit

The Knoxville News Sentinel archive search ([1]) has several hits for Goodstein. Unfortunately, the searches only provide excerpts of the article. Some curious hits: "'Ancient Architects' Draw on Experience" (from 6/20/2000, discusses the "senior" architects who designed much of Knoxville's skyline during latter half of the 20th century), "Far From Family" (10/12/96, discusses Knoxville-area Jews who relocated to Israel), and "Hadassah Event to Honor Goodsteins" (4/14/94, banquet for Joe and Marion Goodstein, ironically held at the Plaza Tower). I'll check my hard copy Knoxville sources when I get home, though most were published before the 80's. If we can find some sort of bio of Goodstein, say in an encyclopedia of architects, or in an architectural magazine, we should have no problem moving the article to the main space. Thank you so much! I have hard copies of the "far from home", and Hadassa, and another copy of an article covering their invitation and visit to the white house. However, so far I haven't found any bio such as described. I'll keep looking, hoping that something will come up. The most probable candidate is probably an interview after he finished the Thompson–Boling Arena. Thanks again for your feedback! Ghbeeri (talk) 07:52, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Referencing old newspaper articles

edit

Hi Ghberri,

I noticed that you had some reference images removed from your article in AfC, you might upload them to archive.org and reference them from there. My understanding is that the reference does not need be on the web if you have the publisher, author, date etc and it is likely to exist somewhere (like a library), but probably better to provide images of the article. I load the images into a pdf file, especially good for multiple pages, and archive.org seems to like the pdf format. Cheers! --009o9 (talk) 14:28, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
