Hello George you might wish to insert  George E. Koronaios   Lotje (talk) 14:15, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Lotje! After much thinking, though, I decided that it woukd not be a good idea. Wikepedia is not for self-promotion no matter how useful one userpage might be. I will keep my initial page in Commonsand here I will made edits whenever it is possible without making any mention on me or my activity in Commons. Thank you once again for your time and my apologies if I did not make a good use of it this time. :-) George E. Koronaios (talk) 15:55, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
No worries Georges.   You might wish to take a look at Wikipedia:User pages Cheers. Lotje (talk) 16:00, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ah, that was very helpful, Lotje. Thank you! George E. Koronaios (talk) 20:21, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Demeter

edit

Hello George, following our conversation on commons, I renamed the file, adapted the description accordingly and removed the double image. You might wish to take a closer look at the article.   Lotje (talk) 06:02, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I was reading the museum description of the file I have uploaded (File:Relief with Demeter, Triptolemus, and Persephone at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens on October 6, 2021.jpg). It says at the end "The relief was apparently famous in antiquity and was copied in the Roman period. One of its copies is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York." If I were to make a guess, I would say that the file Napoleon Vier uploaded is possibly one of these copies, if not that copy in particular, at the MET. If that is the case, than his file does not depict a modern replica but a Roman copy. George E. Koronaios (talk) 14:16, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
EDIT: I have just found it, Lotje. That is the file Napoleon Vier uploaded. It is indeed a Roman copy and not a replica. Check this out: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/248899 George E. Koronaios (talk) 14:16, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
The original, though, is the one at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens which I uploaded in 2021 (File:Relief with Demeter, Triptolemus, and Persephone at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens on October 6, 2021.jpg). Cheers! George E. Koronaios (talk) 14:18, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Or adding the template {{User Greece}} perhaps? Lotje (talk) 05:47, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, CycloneYoris! I will try my best. That was my first attempt. I hope I did not create any serious mess! Cheers! :-) George E. Koronaios (talk) 10:58, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I know this may sound silly but can you please tell moy how to access the draftbox with the page I tried to create? George E. Koronaios (talk) 11:03, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have also found this link from the website of the Greek Ministry of Culture with reference to the church. Here it says that the church wasd completed in the 7th century, not the 6th as I wrote in the first place. http://odysseus.culture.gr/h/3/eh351.jsp?obj_id=2370 George E. No worries, CycloneYoris! I found the draftbox! Thank you once again for your time. I will try to improve it and add a necessary reference to a reliable source! Have a wonderful day ahead! George E. Koronaios (talk) 04:33, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
