April 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Smtchahal. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Feni Girls Cadet College because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. smtchahal(talk) 17:42, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I corrected my mistake. I'm sorry. smtchahal(talk) 17:58, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:49, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Feni edit

Hi, about the confusion over your removal of the disambiguation page Feni because you want to create a page about the city: I've created a sandbox page for you, and have copied the code that was on the Feni page before I reverted your changes. You can work on continuing to edit on that copy on the page User:GbySmn/Sandbox. When you are happy with the version that you have made about the city, please let me know at my talk page, and we can work on setting up the hatnotes so that typing "Feni" in the search box will go to the city page as the default meaning, while all the other meanings of the word will still be accessible for people who want to know about those matters. Best wishes, Sminthopsis84 (talk) 22:20, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your talk page looks much better! edit

So does your user page! However, I think you should have considered asking me how it works instead of directly copy-pasting it. Not because I don't want others to copy — Wikipedia is not copyrighted — but because there are a few issues:

  1. It says you have the AutoWikiBrowser permission on the English Wikipedia. That would be misleading to other users, since you don't have the permission.
  2. A lot of my "stuff" (including links to my userboxes page, my talk archives, etc.) are on your talk page. That is also misleading.

If you do like my talk page's "theme" and wish to continue using it, please consider substing my user template you placed on your talk page. Just replace {{User:Smtchahal/Talkcrap}} with {{subst:User:Smtchahal/Talkcrap}} (on your talk page, of course!) and then save the page. After that, when you edit the page again, you will be able to edit information that suits you best. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding this. smtchahal(talk) 08:39, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for complying! smtchahal(talk) 09:40, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:05, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
