Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by K.e.coffman was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Does not meet WP:NCORP; significant RS coverage not found. Pls also see WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID.

COI question edit

I'm following up on the potential WP:COI issue now raised by multiple editors (e.g. at deletion review and AfC). Do you have any undisclosed connection to DIVISION7, SMUGGLER, Patrick Milling-Smith, or Brian Carmody? Bakazaka (talk) 18:01, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Bakazaka Yes, I work with the company. However I have no intention to dispel lies to glorify SMUGGLER or DIVISION7 on Wikipedia. I have only worked there for a short time and agree vehemently that the tone of the former SMUGGLER article was too promotional. It does not, however, mean the company does not exist or is not worthy of entry on Wikipedia.

Perhaps it is worthy of considering that not all WP:COI issues result in faulty information. In this specific instance, I am simply advocating that a Wikipedia article for SMUGGLER should exist, because it is similar to other such Wikipedia entries and production companies. Wikipedia allows such editing as long as it follows the disclosure guidelines, and the WP:COI guidelines are meant to prompt disclosure, not to prevent editing. Personally, I hope you keep editing Wikipedia. That said, given the specific connection you've described, please take a look at WP:PAY, which describes the relevant guidelines, and WP:COIDISCLOSEPAY, which contains the instructions for disclosing your connections when there is a close financial relationship (such as employer/employee). Then follow the disclosure instructions for any article you have edited on a subject to which you have such a connection (the easy way is to put a completed {{Connected contributor (paid)}} template at the top of each article's talk page.) It's extra work, but it's important to the project. Bakazaka (talk) 18:48, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, this is good information and noted. Gabbybrownnyc (talk) 18:52, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
