Your recent edits to WP:HD could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Free State Division, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 22:00, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I'm not an admin, but I'm commenting as a long-time Wikipedia editor:
  • (1) It is often said "On the Internet, no one knows you're a dog," which is to say that simply stating that you represent a court in South Africa does not make it so. Wikipedia -- or more properly, the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) -- cannot tell who you are without your proving your bona fides. To that end, please see WP:OTRS, where ways you can establish your identity are provided.
  • (2) The people who actually want to contact with any legal filing is the Legal Department of the Wikimedia Foundation, not the volunteer editors of English Wikipedia, who have no legal standing.
  • (3) As far as I understand it, being based in the United States, the WMF is controlled by U.S. law. A writ issued in South Africa has no force against them - but, as I said, the Legal Department will be able to tell you more.
  • (4) Regardless of all that, we, the volunteer editors of English Wikipedia, have established a rule under which account names such as yours are disallowed. We can see those rules at WP:Username policy. It is under this rule that you have been blocked. As I said, I'm not an admin, but experience tells me that it's unlikely your account will be unblocked unless you change the name of the account. You can request to be unblocked for that purpose only and then go to WP:CHU to ask for the change, or you can ask the unblocking admin to make the change for you.
  • (5) Another of our policies is WP:No legal threats. You were not blocked under this policy, but many admins would have done so, and many editors would have agreed with the block.
  • (6) As this is the English Wikipedia, all communication should be in English.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.  Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:25, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your block has been expanded as above, and you will also need to satisfy Wikipedia's No legal threats policy to be unblocked in addition to the problem with your username. You are, of course, allowed to take whatever legal action you like, but while it is in progress or while the threat of it is outstanding, you are not allowed to edit Wikipedia.
