September 2013 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at California State University, Fresno. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Bahooka (talk) 23:02, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at California State University, Fresno edit

How about stopping the edit warring on the Fresno State article and discuss it on the article talk page? I've set up a couple of sections at Talk:California State University, Fresno so you can discuss your concerns instead of just reverting everyone. Bahooka (talk) 21:01, 3 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ElKevbo (talk) 00:17, 4 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

March 2014 edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Bahooka (talk) 20:20, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

You're free to disagree with other editors but you're not allowed to (a) begin edit wars or (b) insult them or sling accusations at them. If you continue that behavior it's likely that you'll be blocked from editing. ElKevbo (talk) 15:12, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

April 2014 edit

Hello, I'm Flat Out. I noticed that you made a comment on the page User talk:Fredin323 that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Flat Out let's discuss it 09:15, 12 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Fredin323 reported by User:Bahooka (Result: ). Thank you. Bahooka (talk) 22:49, 18 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at California State University, Fresno. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 23:17, 18 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I wish to appeal the 48 hour block placed on my editing privileges. Incomplete and misleading data is being added that is race-conscious and unnecessary given that the vast majority of university Wikipedia pages do not include statistics on race in the first place.

Decline reason:

You're blocked for edit warring; you'll need to address that in your unblock request. --jpgordon::==( o ) 04:31, 19 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You are coming off a block for edit warring and now continuing to do the same edits that got you blocked. Stop it. The consensus on the talk page is to include the information like on almost all the other CSU articles. Bahooka (talk) 05:19, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Less than 7 hours after this block for edit warring ended, you started edit warring again with 3 quick reversions at California State University, Fresno (05:34, 24 April 2014‎; 05:50, 24 April 2014; 06:53, 24 April 2014). It seems you haven't learned anything. Contributor321 (talk) 14:08, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

King of Hearts, I suggest you block Bahooka for edit warring. I have tried repeatedly to come to a consensus regarding Bahooka's insistence of adding racial statistics in the Intro section of Fresno State's Wiki page. Instead of answering my questions why Bahooka thinks racial statistics are either important, interesting, or belong in the Introduction section, all he does is request you block me. I request you block him as well. Consensus is the mission of Wikipedia and editors cannot be blocked simply because they disagree with what is "important" and where on the page it should belong - if at all. If it is, why does NO OTHER university page include it there? Why does Bahooka insist on being so race-conscious? This is slanderous and untrue. Compare IP addresses. Please investigate if Bahooka is also Contributor321. I would like to come to consensus on this issue and I do not deserve to be blocked simply because my opinion differs from Bahooka's. Bahooka's opinion is not better than mine. California State University, Fresno edit

Hey, how about instead of just removing information like you did here, you try to update it. There is no need to get rid of useful information if it can be updated... which a majority of the content can. I'll update, as it really wasn't hard to find the updated information on the website but in the future, it would be nice if you could. Corkythehornetfan 04:12, 16 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
