Hello, I edit Wikipedia health content.

I saw that you intend to edit the Larry Corey article. It is in rough shape. I also have been thinking of cleaning there. Here is my advice on Wikipedia -

  • All content has to come from reliable sources which are published. Almost all of the current content can be deleted because it is not backed by a citation.
  • If you add content, follow every statement you add with a citation to the source from which it came
  • Do not cite anything published by FH or any of LC's employers or financial partners or anything that he wrote about himself.

If you want me to clean the current article by deleting for compliance then signal me. Also if you want to talk by voice or video about Wikipedia for beginners then write me. Blue Rasberry (talk) 17:28, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Help me!

edit

Hi, I work for Fred Hutch communications. As you saw in my note accompanying on the minor edit I did this morning (just as an experiment to get my feet wet with the system) I've been assigned by my editors to revise the Lawrence Corey page (a draft of the revisions is currently being reviewed by Dr. Corey). This is my first venture into wiki editing. I will take a spin through the tutorials and hope to begin the edit today - or Monday, depending on when the revisions are returned to me.

Also, I have been assigned to create a new wiki page for another Fred Hutch leading researcher and executive.

Thank you for your message earlier. As questions emerge, (as I am learning how to do this) I will ask them here.

Acknowledged! I am here watching this page and will support. Ask if you have questions. Thanks. Blue Rasberry (talk) 18:16, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello FredHutchBriggs - Welcome to the WP community! Since you mentioned that you work for FH, you might want to briefly review WP:COI, which discusses the policies concerning paid editing. For example, I'd recommend adding a simple statement to your user page, maybe something similar to this one. Thank you for getting involved - I hope you have a pleasant time here. jxm (talk) 15:57, 1 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Previews!

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. --allthefoxes (Talk) 22:33, 30 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
