Frank Cogliano moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Frank Cogliano, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Frankcogliano. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Frank Cogliano, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Longhair\talk 03:30, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I do not have a COI. I am in no way related to the subject of this article. Frankcogliano (talk) 03:35, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
May I ask why then you have chosen a username that is an exact match with the person who is the subject of the article at Frank Cogliano, an aticle which you are involved in editing? The username policy forbids usernames that impersonate a real life person. -- Longhair\talk 03:39, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I do apologize. I happen to share the same name, no relation.

Hello Spiderone, thank you for your contribution to this page. I would like to add that I supplied several reliable and verifiable sources, including mentions in Village Voice, an extended profile in Film Score Monthly, a feature on WFMU, mentions in IndieWire, and several others. With 100 + verified credits on IMDB including individual episodes of TV shows, this demonstrates his notability in the entertainment industry. For more information about the verifiability of IMDB, please see this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Citing_IMDb/Archive_1. IMDB has a rigorous verification process for film and TV credits, and the works listed attributed to Frank Cogliano are major studio works, including Universal Pictures (How High 2). The soundtrack.net reference is additional proof of his work. If you have any questions about specific parts of the article that need further verification, I would be more than happy to discuss. Thanks again! 74.101.56.203 (talk) 19:06, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
