Welcome to Wikipedia, Foxmulder! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! Here, however, are a few links to get you started:

There are lots of policies and guidelines to get to grips with but they all make your life easier and your stay more fun in the long run. Please be sure to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? ;)

Hi Foxmulder! I'm going to have a go at shortening the history section if i get a quiet afternoon at work! As someone else interested in improving the Rapid Transit article, your comments on the shortening of the nomemclature section would be appreciated too! Bjrobinson 09:14, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
RE: Your note on my page. Yes i coul'nt agree more with all your points, detailed history regarding individual systems have no place opn the main page. As for the rest of a) yes it needs a rewrite, b) it needs sources but c) like you im not too sure how to do this! Anyway ill think about it :/ Bjrobinson 13:32, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Hey there, I read your comment on the talk page for typface. I replied to your question about how that statement was ironic. See below:
Looks to me as though it's ironic because in the U.S. the typeface itself is not subject to copyright, (though the pixle points that form the outline are), but if a typeface is designed in a country where they uphold Berne Convention rules, that typeface is then subject to copyright in the U.S. So the irony is that a typeface cannot be copyright(ed) in the U.S., but other countrys (c) will be upheld in the U.S. This is new to me, so this is purely my take on the text. I suppose this could be clairified for a non-legal reader... Crocadillion 13:27, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Edit-a-thon invite edit
On May 3rd, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts will be hosting a Native American and Chinese Art edit-a-thon from 9:00-5:00 pm. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
