KylieTastic How can I proceed in this regard. I am in the Principal of the College and trying to create a page using existing content to which I am authorised to use. Do you have wisdom how to proceed without deletion? Fionavar (talk) 17:53, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, first if you are the principle please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. As for the copyright issue when you publish every edit there is the statement just above that says you are releasing under the open licences so that contradicts posting copyrighted content that says "Copyright © 2022 St. Andrew's College. All rights reserved". You can donate such content see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials but that does not always help. By its nature an organisations material is not often neutral, and clearly not independent. So even if some material was used you would also need other sources to show notability. However a public college established in 1912 I would expect does have enough independent reliable sources. Do just remember that this is an encyclopedia and not for the same purpose as your own website or social media, so if you want to proceed I would suggest starting small and neutral, the sections like "Mission" and "Prospective Students" are best left to a sentence and the rest for anyone interested would go to your website. Hope that make sense. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:05, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
