Speedy deletion nomination of DKSH

edit

A tag has been placed on DKSH requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. • "Why exactly is our English article always red-flagged?" I wonder if the following words suggest anything to you: "has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dear RHaworth, thank you for your response. DKSH is a privately held top 20 Swiss company. There are not many sources around except newspaper articles from major newspapers. (-> List of Swiss companies by revenue). Can we publish the article again and add some sources? The German and Japanese article use the same text (more or less) but were not red-flagged.... Thanks. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fantree (talkcontribs)

  • "Not many sources"! Articles from major newspapers are precisely the references we are looking for. I am surprised the German version has survived - that is equally lacking in references. OK, despite your presumed COI, I will let you try again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:49, 15 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just updated the references to only include English and no German sources as to comply with notability. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fantree (talkcontribs)

Orphaned non-free image File:DKSH logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:DKSH logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 14:13, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:DKSH (business) logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 12:53, 25 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Gene93k. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to DKSH because it appeared to be promotional. Thank you. • Gene93k (talk) 03:19, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to DKSH has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted.   Hello, Fantree. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article DKSH, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. -- Urquhartnite (talk) 11:23, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Urquhartnite. Thank you for your notification about Wikipedia's policies. The rules and policies of Wikipedia are acknowledged and respected. The interests of the Wikipedia community are considered with importance thus, the articles contributed are fact-based and verified to ensure accuracy and relevancy. Your links are most helpful, thank you! Fantree (talk) 08:01, 23 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
