Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Carrick-on-Shannon has been reverted.
Your edit here to Carrick-on-Shannon was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/leitrim.roots) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:07, 18 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Magee's Spirit Store (Local Pub)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Magee's Spirit Store (Local Pub) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. kelapstick(bainuu) 10:12, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to County Leitrim. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Enniskillen, you may be blocked from editing. The Banner talk 11:01, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 days for using Wikipedia for advertising or promotion. You may, like many people, have come here sincerely believing that posting promotional material was a legitimate use of a Wikipedia account. many people, unfortunately, make the mistake of thinking "anyone can edit Wikipedia" means "anyone can post anything they like to Wikipedia". However, that is not the case, as Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising service. There is no way of reading such language as "we also welcome visitors who wish to have a genuine Irish experience", "The Leitrim Roots Festival will fulfill the dream for the descendants of many Leitrim exiles", and "they will be discovering the beauty of the county for themselves" as neutral reporting. Your use of the word "we" and your adding of links to "contact details" also make clear your purpose in using Wikipedia for promotion of an organisation in which you are involved. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
