I see you've recently tagged several articles as "proposed for deletion" with {{prod}}. In many of these cases the articles appeared to be suitable for "speedy" deletion. The difference is that articles which meet the criteria for speedy deletion can be deleted by an admin immediately (or within a very short time, at any rate). Please read WP:CSD to become familiar with what the criteria are: in short they apply to articles which are complete gibberish, ones that talk aout real people or groups of people without making it clear why they are notable, ones which are empty (or nearly so), and so on.
{{prod}} is a way of saying "this article should in my opinion be deleted but doesn't meet the speedy deletion criteria, and nobody is likely to disagree". See WP:PROD. You should specify a reason, like {{prod|reason}}. For instance {{prod|Pure advertising for a company which is not notable according to [[WP:CORP]]}}. Just putting {{prod}} on an article such as Christopher Trevor-Roberts without explanation is not a particularly good idea.
"Prodded" articles will be deleted five days after tagging if no-one removes the tag. If someone does remove the tag you should not replace it; take the article to the AfD (Articles for Deletion) process instead.
Finally if you feel an article should be deleted but feel that this needs, or would cause, debate, use the AfD process in the first place, rather than {{prod}}.

Image copyright problem with Image:Kalapani.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Kalapani.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

Hyperreality
editHi... thanks for your edits to the page which I am (mostly) respondible for writing. I am wondering if you could clarify why you believe Dubai is an example of hyperreality. I have removed a lot of other examples in the past. I will be the first to admit that the article is in need of work but it hasn't changed much in 3 years... more to the point, the city examples are frequently mentioned by Baudrillard--he seems to be more concerened with America, the rest of the world, even Europe, does not intrest him. - - Actually I read an article about the transformation of this city in a Swedish newspaper (link :http://www.dn.se/DNet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=1058&a=532049 ). The author referes to Baudrillard in his discussion.
- Dubai fulfils the modern dream of a global village. It is a designed mix of commers and postmodern kitsch. The "team" that are :directing Dubais transformation "into hyperreality" consists of consults, engineers and PR-people. They are gathered from all of the :world but mostly from America and Europe, and their job is to design and market the city.
- They are building exotic mysticicm with different layers of simulated and real modernity. There are a miniature version of Empire :State Building housing the citys own version of Hard Rock Cafe. They are actually building the worlds largest building - Burg Dubai - :half a mile high. But most of all they try to transmitte a stronger feeling of beeing in the middle east than any other "authentic" :middle-eastern city can offer. --Exformation.info 14:01, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Exformation 002.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading File:User exformation invert.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
