Great work

edit

Great work on Wikipedia! You've certainly have done an outstanding job in fixing up and creating articles about Cairo. Nice blog too.. --Ahmed 06:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I understand where you're getting at but as Lucky 6.9 said: "Hi. Sometimes, if an article is too short, it can be redirected to the a larger, more established article. The article in question was little more than an introductory sentence, but it can certainly be expanded upon and made into an article of suitable length. - Lucky 6.9 07:25, 7 December 2006 (UTC)"Reply

He has a point... it's better off to redirect than to leave the articles 'red'. --Ahmed 13:37, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Little context in Cairene

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cairene, by Janarius (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cairene is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cairene, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

September 2008

edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Talk:Astrotheology, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:04, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Astrotheology

edit

Hi. Just to let you know that I have proposed that Astrotheology be deleted as it can be no more than a dictionary definition and has been previously deleted as being non-notable. See Wikipedia:Proposed deletion if you are unfamiliar with this process. Sam Korn (smoddy) 16:32, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Astrotheology (2nd nomination). Sam Korn (smoddy) 18:26, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
My arguments are based solely on WP:V, not on the lack of content. I do not believe the sources exist to provide content. Derham's book appears to be the only source to use the term as the article does. I do not believe that fulfills our verifiability policy.
You accuse me of bias, I believe -- could you let me know how you think I am biased?

Hi! This picture isn't mirrored, as you can check on the object's cartel on the Louvre database. I have no knowledge of Ancient Near Eastern languages, so I'm afraid I can't help you any further. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 18:51, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Call for Wikipedians in Residence in Africa

edit

Hello,

I hope you are well and thriving!! WikiAfrica has just put out a call for two Wikipedians in Residence. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

If you are not interested in applying, I would be very grateful if you could spread this call far and wide among your networks to ensure that both projects get excellent candidates. Here is the link for the information page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/two-wikipedians-in-residence-for-africa/

Best regards, Islahaddow

Speedy deletion nomination of Albi ekhtarak (فلبي اختارك)

edit

Hello Estr4ng3d,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Albi ekhtarak (فلبي اختارك) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Albi Ekhatark (قلبي اختارك).

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Albi Ekhatark moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Albi Ekhatark, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. {{u|zchrykng}} {T|C} 06:04, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Albi Ekhatark

edit

Hello, Estr4ng3d. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Albi Ekhatark".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 08:38, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
