Welcome

Hi, Escuincla. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  01:53, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Adoption

edit

If you are interested, I am currently looking for an Adoptee. I have been editing for about a year and a half, but I have never adopted anyone before. If you want to find out more about me, check out my user page or my userboxes. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 15:45, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for accepting my offer! I'll do my best to help you out. Firstly, as a rule, edit summaries are always good - sometimes they aren't completely neccessary, but it's never rude to use one. As for your editing problems, if you leave a message at User:Strdst grl/adoption describing precisely what you want to do, I'll talk you through it. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 16:20, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hi Escuincla. I'm glad you found an adoptee. Great job on your article by the way. I made one fix to the categories, but other than that it looks great. Just let me know if you ever have a question. I'm sure Strdst_grl will be glad to help too. Happy editing! Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:29, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Xico/Valle de Chalco

edit

its been problematic for some time in Wikiproject:Mexico how we should handle towns/cities versus municipality... esp in Edomex were city and municipality are coextensive in a number of places. I was aware that no one calls the city Xico, but since I had been setting up the town/muncipality pages under the town name, I used Xico to continue the pattern. I have no problem if you redirect everything to the new page and add information! Maybe some pics too. You work a lot on Mexico articles?Thelmadatter (talk) 20:56, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excellent! We need more Wikipedia addicts for Mexico! I had no idea just how much cool stuff there was here until I moved to central Mexico 6 years ago. And Im ashamed to admit I lived in Arizona 11 years before that. *blush* Havent made it to Irapuato yet (except passing through on buses) I now work mostly on DF, esp. Centro Historico articles. Working on articles for Barrio Chino and San Pedro Atocpan ATM.Thelmadatter (talk) 15:22, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
