Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Nonsuchpark, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. – Joe (talk) 06:23, 10 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Alex Gurteen edit

Hello, Epsomathlete. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Alex Gurteen, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Alex Gurteen to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Speedy deletion nomination of Alex Gurteen edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alex Gurteen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. August 2018 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Alex Gurteen. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Stop doing this. The article creator is not allowed to remove the speedy. An admin will look at the article and decide if the request is valid. Meters (talk) 22:03, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok sure. The speedy deletion notice is not valid though as it is not a copy of the original article. I wrote the article in my own words. I am concerned that an admin will just come and look at the page and delete it as they don't think it is notable enough. If you are an admin I would appreciate if you remove the tag as it is not an cut and paste job, you can see the old version on deletionpedia. Feel free to put an AFD notice so that it can be talked about more thoroughly. Thanks Epsomathlete (talk) 22:06, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:SOCK, particularly WP:SPAPARTY. It is clear from your post here that you are in violation of the sockpuppetry guidelines by rewriting this deleted article for the blocked user. Meters (talk) 22:14, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Well he didn't recruit me as such. I mentioned to him in passing about editing Wikipedia articles and he went on and on about his page being deleted by the administrators. I then asked him if he wanted me to create the page and surprise surprise he was only too happy for me to do that. I am keen to make more running articles because there are many notable subjects which are yet to be created. Epsomathlete (talk) 22:26, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you haven't already seen it, please look through Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Alex_Gurteen. There was an overwhelming consensus amongst other editors that Alex Gurteen was not sufficiently notable to merit inclusion only 8 months ago and nothing seems to have changed since then. Your article was slightly different, but the real issue - that of the subject's notability - had not changed and as such I have deleted it again. Please do not recreate it. SmartSE (talk) 22:37, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough. Sorry, I recreated it just after you deleted it in an edit conflict before seeing this post. Feelfree to delete again Epsomathlete (talk) 22:42, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
