Emmanuel Mudiay edit

Yeah, sorry to revert you so quickly without having proper research. I just found out that the images of Mudiay wearing DR Congo jersey is from Nike Hoop Summit. However, it is not a FIBA sanctioned game, therefore I don't think it's counted as playing at international level for DR Congo. However, I removed his USA flag as well, because I think we need a reference that mentions his US citizenship. So far I can't find any reference aside from the fact that he moved to USA at the age of 5. — MT (talk) 23:27, 27 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Karl-Anthony Towns/2015 NBA draft edit

I understand your point on continuity of previous NBA draft pages stating the "nationality" of the players drafted, with the qualifier being "the player's national team or representative nationality"; however, I do not understand the informational purpose of this category on an NBA draft page anyway. Why would including "USA" for an American-born and Team USA eligible player (or Jamaica in the case of Patrick Ewing) compromise the integrity of the information listed on these draft pages? If a player has both, a history of representing one country in international competition and a separate nationality by birth with past or present eligibility to compete for that country, then why cannot both be included by the player's name with the qualifier being "and/or" instead of just "or"? There's now a discussion going at Talk:2015 NBA draft, so if you two want to continue this, head over to the article talk page. Thanks! Zagalejo^^^ 18:36, 5 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

College player categories edit

Hello - I wanted to let you know that college player categories (like "Florida State Seminoles basketball players" on Dwayne Bacon) are not added until the player has appeared in an official game for the school. this is the same convention used for pro teams. Disambiguation link notification for August 30 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Harold Giles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Oak Hill Academy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka edit

Dear ElectricPelican,

Thank you for your contributions to the Wikimedia Projects. As an editor from Sri Lanka, you are warmly invited to join the official Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka and to subscribe to its mailing list, Wikimedia-LK.

The user group currently includes volunteers from Wikipedia and other projects, from the English, Sinhala, and Tamil speaking communities. It is the Wikimedia-approved platform for editors from Sri Lanka to enable wider collaboration, for both online and offline projects.

With your support, we hope to organize cross-project content improvement drives as part of online projects, as well as organize in-person edit-a-thons, training sessions, photowalks, and other such activities, in the near future. The ultimate goal(s) of these initiatives is to improve the overall coverage and quality of topics relating to Sri Lanka, as well as encourage new editors to join the Wikimedia community, while simultaneously empowering and retaining our existing team of editors.

There are no mandatory obligations for members who choose join the community, other than the usual editing rules for online projects, and the friendly space policy for in-person projects. You may also (or instead) subscribe to the mailing list, where any member could initiate discussions with volunteers across projects, notify members of events and meetings, stay up to date with competitions, organize your own events, and so on.

See you on board, and Happy Editing!
