The article Large Apparatus studying Grand Unification and Neutrino Astrophysics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence that it meets the notability criteria for science projects

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Policy on bold-facing edit

Hello El Roih. Please do not bold-face foreign names in article lead sections. Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section#Foreign language: "Do not boldface foreign names not normally used in English, or variations included only to show etymology". Cheers. --Omnipaedista (talk) 00:56, 26 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

You need to start communicating edit

All your boldfacing edits have been reverted since they were in violation of Wikipedia's manual of style. Many of your edits in which you have entered English text (either by username or by IP address (128.214.72.156)) were also reverted since the grammatical errors in those texts were unacceptable—the text was literally incomprehensible. I noticed that you never provide an edit summary or discuss your edits. I see a couple of attempts by editors to communicate with you, none of which you have replied to. As we are a collaborative project, you need to start communicating and explaining your edits, either on talk pages or in edit summaries. If you continue to restore your MOS-violating edits as you did here and if you can't show that you are communicating with other editors, I will have to consider to report you to an administrator. --Omnipaedista (talk) 09:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Breakthrough Filmmakers Challenge moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Breakthrough Filmmakers Challenge, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 22:02, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Frederick Reines edit

Hi. Your edit to Frederick Reines was reverted for two reasons:

First, as I'm sure you must know by now, since you've accumulated over 4,500 edits here since 2010, Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation.

Second, hypocorisms should not be added to the opening sentence of the Lead, as explained at WP:HYPOCORISM.

2021 in Spaceflight edit

I saw that you removed suborbital statistics from the table. If there are any launches that have occurred that aren't on the list. Please add them. I've really tried to step up and focus on the suborbital section for this year and I think that I've cataloged all of them. But if not, please feel free to assist. And if its only going to be orbital launches, it should be moved to the orbital launch statistics section. --Jrcraft Yt (talk) 20:08, 10 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello.Nice to hear that someone is looking more thoroughly into the suborbital launches, that really is needed. However I still think it would be best not to include them in the statistics or at least separate the statistics of orbital and suborbital launches. Three main reasons for this come to mind: 1. In previous years (and in other spaceflight-related websites than wikipedia) only the orbital launches are counted, so if suborbital launches are included in the statistics for "2021 in spaceflight"-wikipedia article then these statistics are no longer compatible with statistics of previous years in wikipedia (or on other internet-webpages). 2.Whereas there are good sources (in the internet and in the news) listing orbital launches, there are (according to my knowledge) not sources of similar quality giving information about suborbital launches, thus making the verification of what suborbital launches have taken place etc. a big problem. Especially as quite many suborbital launches are military launches, the information about them might not be available to public. Thus it is very hard to be sure your list of suborbital launches is complete or even representative of the true situation. This is not the case with orbital launches where, because you have good sources, you can be confident that your list and thus your statistics are true and complete.3.What is the definition of suborbital launch? How high must a rocket fly to be considered a suborbital launch? Is a high-altitude anti-aircraft missile a suborbital launch? One should be careful on how to define the suborbital launch, otherwise there are somany sources of suborbital launches that listing them becomes impossible. Also there are other sources than rockets that must be considered if one for example would define that a suborbital launch is one where the rocket flies 30km altitude;this altitude can be reached by a jet-fighter aircraft making a parabolic jump and balloons regularly visit this altitude.

For these reasons i think it is better to either only include orbital launches in the statistics or make separate statistics for orbital and suborbital launches.

P.S. I have no information about any suborbital launches and thus cannot be of any assistance in that matter, sorry. BTW, where do you get your suborbital-information? I would be interested to take a look.

P.P.S. Sorry about the quality I am not on a computer; I write this on a mobile device and if is awful. El Roih (talk) 13:59, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

For normal public launches, its easy. For some of the military ones that don't disclose much, it can take days to verify everything. Thats why they sometimes get added a couple days late. Ballistic missiles are the trickiest. Especially when they come from countries who are less than open. But all of the details come out, just a couple of days after the fact. I only include launches that go (or are intended) above 80km which is the U.S. line so that their aren't any disparities. I started doing the suborbital stuff because there were many launches last year that were not added. So I figured that that section needed some help. There have been more suborbital launches this year already than all of last year. And more than the number of orbital launches.--Jrcraft Yt (talk) 21:35, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Glenn Research Center, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. West Coast Customs edit

I typed your username wrong but wanted to make sure you saw this edit summary. If indeed Friedlinghaus founded the company in 1993, then he was operating it illegally, in an unlicensed capacity, for seven years. It's just not true, it's the same deal as the mythical $5,000. It's a just-so story for the press. Given how many times Friedlinghaus has himself vandalized Wikipedia, and paid others to do so, his statements should be given even more scrutiny than the typical WP:SPS. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 21:41, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you have better information, I am fine accepting it. If I remember correctly, my source was either the company website or some press article; if these are mistaken or cannot be trusted, then I am willing to admit I really do not possess any more information about the situation. El Roih (talk) 21:26, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I checked; the source was the company website. As I said, I am fine with anything concerning that article since I do not really have any better information. The only argument to include the date from the company website is to highlight the fact that everybody has their own date for the founding of the company (even the newspapers have multiple dates). These kind of situations are always tricky as even the entertainment-journalism in otherwise well-reputed papers is not always that reliable (to be polite) so it is sometimes hard to find out what the actual truth is. And I honestly do not have interest to look into this further. But thanks for writing me @Psiĥedelisto: El Roih (talk) 21:49, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@El Roih: As I said, self-published sources (WP:SPS) like company websites do not trump reliable sources (WP:RS). When they conflict, reliable sources are to be preferred in all cases. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 22:25, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Copy & paste contents from Oryx website edit

Hello, you may have noticed that I have reverted your recent edits to List of military aid to Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian War. I would like to remind you that while facts and information cannot be copyrighted, the way to express ideas can be. We cannot copy and paste contents (including headings and text) directly from Oryx website, as you have done in multiple instances[1][2][3] You can see that Oryx's website has "Copyright © 2023 Oryx" at the bottom of each page. By copying & pasting directly onto Wikipedia, what you did is making copyright violations and interferes with Wikipedia's ability to further distribute the work through an open license. Your account may be subject to blocks of escalating duration (including indefinite blocks) if this behaviour continues. It also takes a long time for other volunteers to manually untangle the copyright violation text (something which we still haven't finished since May when another editor also copied & pasted Oryx's contents word-for-word). As a general practice, while you can use Oryx website as a reference for what contents to update, it is best to write the content in your own words. The categories names (e.g. "Armoured personnel carriers", "fighter jets", "Surface-to-air missiles") are pretty stable and shouldn't be changed without good reason because they have stayed that way for months and deemed acceptable by most editors on that page. Repairing country sections in List of military aid to Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian War edit

Good work on re-linking references back to the statement to repair the damage of an overt copyvio vandal. If you have time, can you help fix the countries on that list? The vandal replaced many independent news sources with Oryx, then moved the references to the bottom of that country's section and scrambled them so nobody knows which aid came from which source.
