Speedy deletion nomination of David R. Dolan

Hi, thanks for message

• the image was a copyright violation. Copyrighted images not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to those created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that they are public domain; there was no such disclaimer here. There are ways to donate copyrighted images to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use it, or that it isn't copyright isn't sufficient.
• David Dolan owns this file— not the photographer? Is the copyright holder aware that releasing it here means it can be used by anyone for any purpose, including commercial use?

In practice, it's easier to take your own image, since verifying who owns the copyright and getting formal release as above is very tedious.

I am a student and colleague of David—although that isn't relevant to the image, I note that you have written an article about him, and you must declare your conflict of interest on the article talk page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:07, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
