{{helpme}} Someone keeps removing sourced, accurate information from the Jakob Dylan article. Please advise what can be done to stop this happening. Thank you. Educated Guest (talk) 13:36, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would leave a message on the talk page of the editor who is removing the information. Also, if they continue, notify an administrator. Please do not get into an edit war and remember the 3RR. If you need additional help, please let me know. Thanks and Happy Editing, Dustitalk to me 18:04, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunatley, I am not an administrator. I would go to the WP:AN and leave a message there. You can let me know and I can do it for you, as well as rever the edit, as I am in a special category of users with the Rollback function on my account. I have notified an Administrator of the situation and have also placed a warning message on the users talkpage. Please be cafeful when getting in disputes, as you yourself could become blocked for edit warring/ Happy Editing, Dustitalk to me 18:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've removed his children's names, per WP:BLP. Even if it wasn't a BLP violation, it isn't necessary to list his children's names (nor their birthdates, for that matter). · AndonicO Hail! 18:34, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
From Howard Sounes: "His extensive and painstaking research of unseen evidence concerning Dylan's life included birth, death and marriage certificates, court papers, property and tax records which enabled him to pin down precise details of Dylan's life where in the past only erroneous speculation had existed. Members of the Dylan family, with the exception of Jakob Dylan, were interviewed by Sounes on the understanding that they would not be named." The book very likely includes BLP violations, if these sentences are accurate. Did Jakob Dylan give permission for his son's names to be released? · AndonicO Hail! 19:07, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'll take your word for it; restored. · AndonicO Hail! 19:32, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hello, A Wikipedia administrator removed the names per WP:BLP. Please check out the policy.
