Kenneth McDuff

edit

Hi Dudley,

I'm interested in this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kenneth_McDuff&diff=next&oldid=338471591 , specifically the claim that someone called 'Smithee' was involved in the case. Do you have a reference for this information? 'Smithee' is a well-known Hollywood pseudonym, so I'm suspicious of its uncited occurrence as a real name ... 109.224.131.181 (talk) 17:51, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Encyclopedic style of writing

edit

Hi.

Wikipedia is no gossip magazine or a place for sensational styles of writing. For example alone-standing citations like ‘[...] the Duke was, "Absurdly negligent and stupid about his own affairs"’ are simply not found in encyclopedias. A text should, first of all, be moderate and balanced. This includes that a case, positive or negative, should not be given unproportionally broad attention.

Could it perhaps be a good idea to make your text more encyclopedic?

It could otherwise be worth reading some introductions, for example Wikipedia:BLP and Wikipedia:WWIN

Proposed deletion of Joester

edit

The article Joester has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NNAME. There is nobody notable with the name or is otherwise notable per WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 20:15, 6 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cartridge (surname)

edit

The article Cartridge (surname) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability, fails WP:NNAME and WP:NOTDICT, sourced only to dictionaries and no other sources were found to show notability. I don't see redirecting as a viable WP:ATD due to the parenthetical disambiguator.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
