Speedy deletion nomination of Germans in Pakistan

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Germans in Pakistan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Karachi United

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Karachi United, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Karachi_United.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Kashmiri diaspora

edit

Would love to help, but going through a busy period. Hope to look at this in August.

Cheers,

--WALTHAM2 (talk) 17:30, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Had a quick look at your article, and when I get a chance will add up the India and Pakistan bits. About the U.K Kashmiris, however there is some controversy, as most are actual Chibhali (Pahari speaking) from the Mirpur-Poonch region, and not ethnic Kashmiris. I think it would make more sense to concentrate on the Kashmiri ethnic community, rather then everyone from old J & K.

--WALTHAM2 (talk) 15:41, 6 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I got your message, and the issue of Kashmiri identity is pretty controversial. Be prepared for all sorts of vandals, nationalist and others to mess up your article. Basically, Kashmiri means someone who inhabits the Kashmir valley and speaks the Kashmiri language, and includes both Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pundits. Others groups in the valley such as the Gujjar, who speak Gojri, and the Pathans of Machipur, who speak Pashtu, as well as the Bomba (calim to be Qureshi) and Khakha (claim to Janjua Rajputs) tribes of Uri and Baramula are not considered Kashmiri. Kashmiris are also found in the Neelum valley area of Azad Kashmir and the Doda District of Jammu. Most Kashmiris found in Lahore and Sialkot are orignally from the valley. Infact, most actually were settled in Amritsar and Ludhiana, pre-partion. There are also some pretty ancient communities in Gujrat in Punjab and Peshawer. Among Kashmiri Pundits, there were ancient communities in Peshawer, Gujrat and Sialkot, all of whom moved to India. There are also communities in UP, and the article should certainly cover them.

The people of Mirpur speak the Pahari language, which is related Dogri. Most only started calling themselves Kashmiri since the 1980's. They are similar to the Pothwari of Punjab and have the same castes such as Chib, Gakhar or Jat. In India, these people are found in Rajouri and Poonch, and are refered to as Chibhali. Hopefully, I have clarified the difference.

Speedy deletion of "Ismail and Junaid"

edit

A page you created, Ismail and Junaid, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
