Speedy deletion of Galerie W

edit

A tag has been placed on Galerie W, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. LegoTech·(t)·(c) 19:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

This will be deleted unless you release it under a free licence. Placing

{{GFDL-self}}

on the image page will do the trick. It would be a good idea to put some text in the article so it is clear what the image is about. Ty 00:44, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Hi Drbowell!
We thank you for uploading Image:1169326603 l.gif, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Rematerialisation 2004-2008.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 21:14, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image permissions

edit

If you are releasing an image that you have taken, you need to put a template on it in addition to all the other information. This will do the trick:

{{GFDL-self}}

If the image has already been deleted, you will have to upload it again, giving the appropriate info. Ty 01:10, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Galerie W

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Galerie W, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability not apparent, and difficult to ascertain - searches on the organization bring up many references to exhibitions as well as references by artists who have exhibitions there, but no third party references to the gallery or its importance.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File:Analog display.jpg

edit

For File:Analog display.jpg it has been deleted because it did not have a free license. If the artist wants to release an image (or a low res image) under a free license such as CC-BY-SA-3.0 they can follow the procedure in WP:PERMIT. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:NEWOBSESSIVEISSUE3SECTION1.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading File:NEWOBSESSIVEISSUE3SECTION1.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 03:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
