INRConvert

edit

Hi there, re: some of your recent edits[1][2], though you obviously mean well, the Indian cinema task force at Wikipedia decided circa June 2016 that it didn't like the use of INRConvert in film infoboxes. The chief issues: 1) It's unclear why we're arbitrarily converting Indian rupees to US dollars, 2) The use of the template creates data bloat in the infobox and 3) there are problems with inflation, when (as an example) 2009 rupees are converted to the current year's value in US dollars. And even when we make an adjustment using the built-in inflation calculator, that just results in more data bloat. Some background here if you're interested. It would be appreciated if you'd please adhere to community consensus. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 09:38, 23 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
