references edit

Hey mate thanks for all your recent A-League contributions. Could I just ask one small thing. Can you put your references after punctuation or at the end of paragraphs, without a space in between. It would just help the articles to be more uniform and tidy. Heres a some info on it - Wikipedia:Footnotes#Ref tags and punctuation. Thanks, Jared Wiltshire (talk) 04:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

No worries. I'm ridiculously busy at the moment but I will help out when I get a chance. Jared Wiltshire (talk) 23:52, 10 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Newcastle Breakers Logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Newcastle Breakers Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:21, 10 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jets attendance edit

Hi Jared, I noticed you revised my changes to the stadium info about breaking the record against rapid vienna. I changed it because I don't think it make sense as it is written. The attendance on 1-1-07 broke the 52 year old record, not the one in the semi final. What do you think? Dj backspace (talk) 02:45, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah I thought it still made sense so I put it back in. I didnt realise it was the 1-1-07 game that broke the 52 year record, maybe just leave the bit in there about 20,980 breaking the Rapid Vienna record then say it was further broken again in the finals with 24,338 people Jared Wiltshire (talk) 08:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have modified it a bit to show both attendances plus the Rapid Vienna info, I think it looks better now. Dj backspace (talk) 10:18, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm happy with it too. Still need a couple more good players to defend the title though. Dj backspace (talk) 03:07, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Caps edit

Hey, when you update the caps can you update the pcupdate field as well. Just makes it easier to see if the caps have been updated. Pretty happy with how we played last night, we can only get better and score more goals :) Jared Wiltshire (talk) 01:10, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey sorry about that. I've not done that before. I'll be sure to do it next time. Dj backspace (talk) 00:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vote for Football as the Australian collaboration edit

Hi -- I recently nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do for the Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight.

This WikiProject has been inactive for a long time and with the World Cup coming up, it would be good for football (soccer) articles to be in depth and comprehensive in Australia.

If you would like to support it, click here for the project page to cast your vote

Thanks! Australian Matt (talk) 02:55, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
