St. Andrew's

edit

Hi Diz syd!

I notice that you have started editting wikipedia only very recently. With regards to your edits to the St. Andrew's Cathedral page- the organ, the first rule of any editor is to read the paragraph that you are editting before you change it in order that you do not break the flow of coherent information.

While your contributions regarding the ongoing organ recitals are valuable, the informmation has been placed in such a way that it interrupts a paragraph concerned exclusively with the structure of the organ. Your sentence now makes nonsense of the sentence which now follows it. I could fix the problem easily, but as an exercise in good editting, it would be preferable if you were to go back, look at the problem and turn your sentence regarding recitals into a seperate paragraph. --Amandajm 03:31, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pitman Shorthand - Complete Theory

edit

What is this? It's not an encyclopedia article... —Centrxtalk • 05:31, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Very true - so what part of wikipedia do I save it too?

If you are writing this yourself, newly, Wikibooks would be the place, I think. Check out the policies there first though. —Centrxtalk • 05:50, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

There is also Wikisource, but that does not allow original contributions. —Centrxtalk • 05:50, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
