Essays on Wikipedia edit

I looked at your essay about cyber diplomacy and tried to advise you on IRC that it did indeed read like an essay and - as a result - was not acceptable as a Wikipedia article in its current form. While you claim to be using reliable sources, the general form of how you are using those sources is to produce original research, something we, as humble Wikipedia editors, must not do.

You mentioned that this essay was being produced for a class. If I were grading it, I'd be critical of the way it slides between what might be called ordinary cyber security issues and sloppily escalates them into having diplomatic consequences. I'd be surprised if you can find these issues treated consistently in the literature, since most of the people purporting to write about the subject know only small parts of the whole problem. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 04:07, 18 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
