Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Dimigaza. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Now I am getting confused here, referring to the Dimigaza page? I thought we were discussing my page about the Neerlandsch Verzetsmonument. I have absolutely no idea were you get the angle of 'autobiography' from. And at the moment it feels like we are discussing something nobody can see for themselves any more to form an objective judgement. Let us be clear and objective and let's not refer to a personal web space or social networking site you have compared my page with. There is nothing personal about it, though I am responsible for the content of the website, my Neerlandsch Verzetsmonument-page is referring to (www.neerlandschverzetsmonument.nl). Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia I understand, so why not point to the memorial site, and let the sources used for the memorial be the solid base of the Wikipage?Dimigaza (talk) 18:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Anyway, let's leave it that. It is probably the case that I am misinterpreting or did not read the guidelines well enough. I am new here, so need a bit more time to read myself into stuff, ok?Dimigaza (talk) 21:36, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

It is true that you are new here. It does appear that you haven't understood the policies and guidelines; it takes some editors a long time to understand the policies and guidelines. You have found the Teahouse. If you have questions, I suggest that you ask them there, where you are likely to get patient answers. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:44, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Well thank you for your patience, Robert. Guess I'll need a bit more study and I will pose my future questions in the Teahouse.Dimigaza (talk) 21:48, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dimigaza

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dimigaza requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
