editHi. Could you please tell me what is your take on this? Could the law also apply to photos of works outside the EU?--Anders Feder (talk) 11:36, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Andreas! If the European Union changes it copyright rules then this change would apply only to the EU countries (and likely to Switzerland, EEC). It would not result in images of structures in Montreal or Moscow to be removed, to cite your examples. The prespective for the he Freedom of Panorama exception is where the building is located or where the photographer is standing. In both senses it is, just like copyright itself, very much territorial. --dimi_z (talk) 21:31, 30 May 2016 (UTC)

editTell him (if you're still in contact) to take a look at his talk page. I blocked him for a username violation, since it looked like he was promoting an organization he might have a connection to; he must have understood this because he posted an unblock request with a new username per the block notice instructions. However, the admin who responded to it asked him a set of standard questions about conflict of interest and whether he understood that; there was no response after three days so the request was declined. If he wants to get in touch with me by using the email link on my user page, I will be happy to continue the process and hopefully get to the point where I can unblock. Or, if he just wants to start a new account with an acceptable username, he can. Daniel Case (talk) 19:09, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Jack Parrock moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Jack Parrock, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
