Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:QUAD Studio edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:QUAD Studio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:56, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I have already stated that I am paid by the company and the content is not promotional. Please unblock me and allow me to edit the content to exclude all the content you think its promotional, to keep the introduction and background only if possible~

Decline reason:

You seem to have a common misconception about Wikipedia in that it is not a place for companies to tell the world about themselves. This is considered promotional on Wikipedia, even if you are not selling something or soliciting customers. Wikipedia is only interested in summarizing what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a subject, showing how it meets(in this case) the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company wants to say about itself or what it considers to be its own history. Routine business transaction announcements, press releases, interviews, and other primary sources do not establish notability. You will not be unblocked to continue to edit about your company. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career. If there are topics completely unrelated to your company that you want to edit about as a general contributor, like George Washington, the history of your country, or science, please tell what those topics might be along with your agreement to not edit about your company(at least until you show you are a good general contributor). I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:38, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Understood that Wikipedia does not allow promotional content with primary sources, please unblock me to remove all the content for now as it is sad that I cannot edit anything after I have tried hard to become an autoconfirmed user. Please let me know what alternatives I could do rather than renaming.

Decline reason:

User still has not made it clear what they intend to edit if unblocked. only (talk) 01:32, 13 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

You don't need to be renamed, there is no issue with your username. You won't be unblocked to edit about your studio, as noted above. You will need to tell the next administrator what subjects you will edit about instead. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I will remove all content for now to keep my account to write articles in the future. How does it sound? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Demy of QUAD Studio (talkcontribs)

Your article has already been deleted. If unblocked, what will you edit? When you say "write articles in the future," what kind of articles do you intend to write? only (talk) 10:39, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry for causing confusion, please allow me to make myself clear - what I meant was I don't want to waste the efforts of turning into autoconfirmed user in terms of being blocked. In this case, if my previous article is deleted, is there any possibility that my account can be unblocked? For future articles - I will draft the introduction with proper references to avoid promotional materials. Thank you. Demy of QUAD Studio (talk) 02:07, 1 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
