License tagging for Image:Appiah.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Appiah.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:19, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Aborah.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Aborah.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 02:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ghana Youth Teams edit

Hi Deciiva, I think you have done a great job on the Ghana football page. Do you think it would be possible to start a page on Ghana's Youth teams as the Ghana national football team page is getting quite long now. It is a very useful page but I was wondering whether it should start spawning pages like with the Ghana page having more details for some sections in eg Politics of Ghana, History of Ghana etc.--Natsubee 08:19, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Boss, I was thinking about the same thing, but decided against it - for now - until after the 2007 U17 FIFA WC in South Korea & the 2007 U20 Toulon Tournament in France. I'm hoping that we get a lot of press articles and information, then i'll just put it together and do the new page for the Youth Teams as you recommended. Hope you understand. Also great work on Ghana on these pages. Well done, bro Deciiva 06:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Abdul Razak - Karim Abdoul Razak edit

This website (translation) seems to suggest that Razak has had 70 national caps with 25 goals if I understand the language right. That should make him the highest capped Ghanaian international if it is right. What do you think?

This page says Abedi Pele had 73 Caps, which still makes him the Most capped Player of all time for us. [1] Deciiva 06:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have also started a debate on Talk:Karim Abdoul Razak as to whether the page should not be renamed as the spelling (Karim Abdoul Razak) is wrong. What do you think?--Natsubee 17:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I went there to see that they did as you told them. Also you're right to change the "Most Caps" part of the Page with your evidence. I don't really know how to use these Wikipedia message thingy so you can hit me on deciiva@hotmail.com anytime you have a concern, my view or something of the sort. You're doing an awesome job here, thanks Deciiva 06:41, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Ghana edit

I am thinking of organizing a WikiProject Ghana. For now, I am trying to design a project page at User:Natsubee/WikiProject Ghana. What do you think. The aim will be to get a focal point for people contributing to Ghana articles and help improve the quality of the articles. If is should take off, you would be very important for the sports-related pages especially. When the page is in better shape, I shall shift it to Wikipedia:WikiProject Ghana. Let me know your thoughts.--Natsubee 18:34, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have written a proposal for WikiProject Ghana here. If you are keen on it taking off, please have a look and sign on so we have an idea of the numbers in support. If there aren't many people, there would not be any point in my taking things further. You can also add comments instead if you so wish. Thanks.--Natsubee 14:50, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Football in Ghana edit

Hi there,

I have just begun an article called Football in Ghana. Seeing as you seem to know way more than I do on the topic (judging by your edits on the Ghana national football team), I just wanted to make you aware of the article and I hope you can make some edits and improve it. Thanks and great work on the Ghana national football team article.--Thomas.macmillan 05:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Copyright status of Image:Balotelli.jpg edit

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Image:Balotelli.jpg. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/index.php?action=read&id=44875 in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Balotelli.jpg with a link to where we can find that note;
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Image:Balotelli.jpg with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a hangon tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Image:Balotelli.jpg saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you want to edit constructively, take a look at the welcome page. Thank you. Angelo 01:05, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mario Balotelli edit

Are you going to keep acting that way, reverting all my attempts to make the article neutral, unbiased and clean? Your version is systematically seen from a fan's point of view, and full of redundant useless references. Please stop reverting my edits, unless you want me to ask a block for the page. --Angelo 03:06, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I wrote the original article on the Player and when I came back, the page had been destroyed so i re-wrote it again. By the way, I have written more than 200 articles for Wikipedia, especiall on Ghanaian players and none of them has had any problem except this one. I don't know why you or anyone keeps deleting and reversing this page. I was also thinking of asking for a block on the page because it is an article relating to a Ghanaian Player who is gonna be called up for Ghana soon. I talked to his natural Parents from Palermo today, even if i will not post deep personal information they gave me. ~~

You might have talked to anyone in this whole world, but this is unverifiable. Your version is definitely biased, and when the guy will turn 18 he will be able himself to choose his citizenship, as the Italian law says so. Your version is clearly written by a fan, and does not follow encyclopedia criterions. And, as I am seriously concerned about your way of writing articles, I'll soon have a look at the others (perhaps nobody said anything about your articles just because nobody fully read them). --Angelo 10:36, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

My man, you are just a joke. People don't read my articles? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_national_football_team Its my work from top to bottom. Read it and shove it where the sun don't shine. My name is even on RSSSF.com helping infostrada with Sports RESEARCH in International Football. Stick to writing Sicilian articles, that is my advise to you. Today its on BBC and International news that Mario is having a Ghana callup cos he is an Italian-born Ghanaian kid, plays and travels with a Ghana Passport for Inter and you are here talking about when, ifs and buts. This is my last reply to you. In the meantime, read this today British BBC Top news about Mario and Ghana. If i add it to his Page you will talk nonsense again http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/6912366.stm Continue to say he is Italian-Ghanaian and put false info on his Wikipedia. I don't care what you write, so forget about me. I don't know you ~~

USA attempted to call Giuseppe Rossi as well, but they failed in do so, as the player opted for Italy. Need any more examples? That BBC article means nothing to me, it just talks about attempts by Ghana to call up players with Ghanaian ancestry and does not mention at all the player's willingness. You can say "Italian-born Ghanaian" instead of "Ghanaian-Italian", this is not the matter; the real matter is the guy will not play for any of the teams till he makes 18, so to me it is really useless to talk about this. I've been involved for years in writing many of the articles about Italian football so don't tell me what and how to edit. I edit what I want, and you are strongly encouraged not to revert all my edits at sight. I don't care who you are, since you look like forgetting how Wikipedia works. Read WP:MOS if you want to learn how to write a decent article on Wikipedia, as the ones you wrote are closer to be magazines reports rather than encyclopedia articles. Don't reply to me, you don't need to do so, I just expect you to have a reading at WP:EQ. Wikipedia is based on a collaborative effort from all its editors, I hope you understand my words. --Angelo 13:59, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please stop making personal attacks on other users. If you continue, you may be temporarily blocked from editing. As you can easily understand, publishing phone numbers and e-mail addresses of individuals other than you with no sort of formal authorization is a violation of privacy, so I deleted all the numbers you posted. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
