Time Travel Radio Show

Wikipedia has content policies, which this article appears to violate. The most important of these are WP:NOTE and WP:V, our rule that a topic has to be notable enough to be included in the encyclopedia, and the content be based on verifiable sources (verifiable by other editors, from reliable sources). The article doesn't appear to meet those thresholds. Because of this, I have nominated the page for deletion from Wikipedia. There will be a deletion review, lasting several days, and other experienced editors will make the decision, based on a loose consensus. You may participate in the deletion review, click -> Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Time Travel Radio Show. Please note that even though there may appear to be a vote in progress, that it is not a vote; encouraging non-Wikipedians to vote doesn't help. Studerby 19:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I have received your emails. Now that the deletion review process has been started, it will not stop until a "keep" or "delete" decision is reached. The deletion (or not) will be based on policy and evidence. The policies are linked to above, statements of evidence are collected on -> Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Time Travel Radio Show. For the article to remain, there needs to be a claim of notability that satisfies the policy WP:NOTE. This should be added to the deletion discussion (so Wikipedia administrators will see it) and also put into the article. Perhaps a clearer explanation is the personal essay -> User:Uncle G/On notability (while he doesn't speak for WIkipedia as a whole, the essay seems easy to read and seems to me to be consistent with policy). Evidence is verifiable material, as described in WP:V. Studerby 18:09, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia has content policies and guidelines about external links, most importantly WP:NOT and WP:EL. The links you have been adding lately appear to be references to a non-notable web site, for the purposes of promoting that website, and do not advance the purposes of Wikipedia. The external links you've added will be reverted, sorry. Please stop adding more such links. Studerby 19:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, you should be aware of Wikipedia:Linkspam#External_link_spamming and WP:COI. Studerby 19:43, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Jiminy Cricket do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Studerby 19:43, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear Sir (Studerby): I appologize for attempting to create links to the various famous folks we have interviewed over the years. It was simply for the purposes of sharing our radio program with people world wide that may enjoy hearing our various interviews. Our site is not an advertising tool. We don't make any manoey off the site. It is a labor of love. Can you please, at the very least, allow us to keep our main article page--Time Travel Radio Show and I understand about NOT linking our individual radio shows to specific folk's articles in the future...

Thank you very much for your consideration : Dchollis68TT

I'm sorry that I've deleted your hard work today, I know it must be terribly frustrating to see all that effort disappear. I want to assure that this was not done personally or maliciously; it was based on my understanding of Wikipedia policy, in a n effort to preserve and improve the encyclopedia. Wikipedia simply has certain goals and ways we've agreed on to achieve them. Since you are very knowledgeable in certain areas, Wikipedia would love to have you as a regular editor, but only if you confirm to the important Wikipedia policies, linked to in the Welcome above. Again, I regret reverting your hard work. Studerby 20:00, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
