Ways to improve Elizabeth Paston

edit

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Davisqmw, thanks for creating Elizabeth Paston!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Is she notable independent of The Paston Letters, or should this be merged there?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Have added more details to demonstrate her significance. Davisqmw (talk) 16:30, 1 April 2018 (UTC)DavisqmwReply

  • Many thanks - I'll work on that
OK—I think it has to be filed by tomorrow, as there's only a seven-day eligibilty window for new articles. They're quite strict about what appears too, so although the article's good there (just) a couple of thikngs that beed to be fixed—that last paragraph needs a source, as does the sentence re. Browne's execution and her not remarrying (basically, anything on the main page equires the best and as much sourcing as possible). It's not as complex asit sounds—If you can sort the article, I could set the DYK up for you, if that's easier for you? It can always be changed later. —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap shit room 16:48, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've added those two references. If you can set up the DYK that would be great. I'm slowly learning but since this is my first Wikipedia article I have a way to go so would be pleased for your input. Many thanks for the offer

  • No problem Davisqmw, it's filed here. If you can go to that page and watchlist it (click the white star next to the 'view history'—it'll turn blue, and you'll get notifications of any changes to the page; it makes it easier to respond to anyone's comments—apologies if you knew that already). By the way (more info, I'm afraid), if you could type four ~ (as in ~~~~) every time you post on a talk page, that automatically inserts your username and time. At the moment your comments are a little—anonymous! Take care, —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap shit room 10:31, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Elizabeth Paston

edit

On 28 April 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Elizabeth Paston, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Elizabeth Paston's first husband died in battle fighting for the House of York, and her second husband was beheaded for treason against it? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Elizabeth Paston. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Elizabeth Paston), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
