License tagging for File:Segs4Vets Mobilizing America's Heroes.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Segs4Vets Mobilizing America's Heroes.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Proposed deletion of Madame Khánh

edit

The article Madame Khánh has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Segs4Vets

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Segs4Vets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.  » nafSadh did say 10:02, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Segs4Vets

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Segs4Vets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. sumone10154(talkcontribs) 21:29, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Segs4Vets, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Segway (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:44, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Segs4Vets

edit

Hi. In your recent update to Segs4Vets you added a new entry with several references and a bare url link. Please can you take the trouble to format the bare link properly as another inline reference? Such bare links should not appear in articles. --Mirokado (talk) 07:34, 3 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Valerie Van Leer-Greenberg

edit

The article Valerie Van Leer-Greenberg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

References about the the trials and defendants. There needs to be independent, reliable references about Ms. Van Leer-Greenberg and not about the trials.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A page you started has been reviewed!

edit

Thanks for creating Valerie Van Leer-Greenberg, DavidMinhPham!

Wikipedia editor Modern.Jewelry.Historian just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Notable because of Daily News, just barely - notability isn't supposed to be inherited. I feel there are too many sections - at least consolidate cases, ie under Career. Book, education and awards could be consolidated in Biography.

Nomination of Valerie Van Leer-Greenberg for deletion

Re: Mme Nhu

edit

Thank you for your warm comments and it was a pleasure for me to have posted the portrait. I didn't know there was a book recently released about her, but it'll certainly be an interesting read and i look forward to reading it soon. Has Mme Nhu's memoirs been published yet? She was said to have been working on it in 3 separate sets, 2 of which were completed but the last was incomplete. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to commemoration in France because I reside in Canada, but i send my deepest regards to the Ngo-Dinh family. Let's hope history never repeats itself again.

Also i have a question about the death of Ngo Dinh Le Thuy. What was the cause and circumstances of the accident that caused her death? I suspect it might be something sinister but I'm not sure. Nguyen1310 (talk) 22:57, 1 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Shwebomin, Crown Prince of Burma

edit

Please be aware that article titles should be neutral, and the "crown prince" status of Shwebomin is contested (see article text). Article titles should not be more complex than is necessary, see Wikipedia:Disambiguation, and they should not contain honorifics. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility). Also you should be aware that edit warring in the Wikipedia is frowned upon. Differences of opinion should be discussed on the talk pages and an attempt at reaching a mutually satisfactory solution in accord with Wikipedia policy and guidelines.. Also there is a three-revert rule which provides: Editors who engage in edit warring are liable to be blocked from editing to prevent further disruption. --Bejnar (talk) 23:58, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edits to United States Volunteers

edit

Sorry, it has been a busy year. I once again removed your additions to the above article for the following reasons.

1. It doesn't belong in that article. The term refers, EXCLUSIVELY, to the lawfully mustered state militia forces that were mustered into Federal Service, prior to the creation of the modern National Guard system with the Militia Act of 1903. The only connection to this organization is simply a name. When two things, with the same name, have only that in common, they go in separate articles.

2. I highly doubt that, once a separate article were to be created, it would survive WP:AfD, simply because this organization is not notable by Wikipedia standards. Please see WP:GNG and WP:SPIP.

3. You did not justify your revert on the talk-page. And not charging money isn't a good enough reason. Different things go in different articles, and articles should only exist for things that are notable. --KRAPENHOEFFER! TALK 09:32, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Shwebomin

edit

Please review our policy WP:BLP before you make another edit like this one. I agree that there are problems with that webpage as a source, and I removed that webpage from the article, but you cannot insert text into the article attacking the author of that webpage as an "alleged historian". Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the BLP policy or any other. Thank you. Gamaliel (talk) 19:40, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
