"Comparison of standard Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian" page move edit

Hello! I noticed you copied the content of Comparison of standard Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian article and pasted it to Comparison of standard Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian. This is not a right way of moving a page. Also note, that this move is potentially controversial, so you should use Requested moves process instead. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 19:26, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hallo Dmitrij D. Czarkoff, thanks for your help on the page "Comparison of standard Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian". I think that Serbo-Croatian is a pluricentric language with four standard variants (see all my contributions). Therefore I added the Montenegrin variant into page title. Obviously, I didn’t move the page in a technically correct way... Thanks again! --Darigon Jr. (talk) 20:25, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Please notice, that I actually reversed page move. You really should use Requested moves process if you want it moved. Also note, generally the discussions are expected to be kept together; as this discussion has started here, please, reply me here. You may also put {{talkback}} (follow the link to see usage details) template on my talk page to make me aware of your response. Please, don't take these comments as accusations or other way to offend you: I just want to help you learn the rules you should know to achieve the result you want. — Dmitrij D. Disambiguation link notification for April 4 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Standard language, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hats off... edit

I'm really impressed by your temperament: I was perhaps a bit harsh re Kordić article (as I was back in 2012), and you didn't jump at my throat, which is what many editors would do. On the contrary: you took the most constructive approach. Anyway, I really wish more editors were like that... GregorB (talk) 16:23, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Snježana Kordić RfC edit

Not sure if you've noticed - I've started an RfC to get a wider input, so you might want to comment in the article's talk. GregorB (talk) 12:07, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi GregorB, thanks for letting me know. I welcome your idea to start a RfC. Best,--Darigon Jr. (talk) 16:29, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you edit

Thank you for all your hard work and I regret having caused you to do additional work. Yours, Quis separabit? 20:35, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Croatian Scientific Bibliography edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Croatian Scientific Bibliography requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://bib.irb.hr/?lang=EN. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 02:15, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Status and Advice edit

As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article. On the now deleted talk p. you said :that this didn't apply because the short text had 5 references. That's not the point. The point is that nothing in Wikipedia may ever be copied from an outside site or previously published material, without full copyright permission according to WP:DCM. This is quite apart from the problem that it is necessary to show notability by references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements--and much more basic. Please see WP:COPYVIO for an explananation. This is one area where we never compromise. Please review all your previous work, and rewrite anything that was copied. Do not just write a praphrase of it, but rewrite from scratch. Close paraphrases are equally copyright violations. DGG ( talk ) 18:40, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Has been deleted. Either way, the above applies, so there is nothing one can do about it except write the article again, this time without close paraphrasing. GregorB (talk) 11:36, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
