Mercy's Mark Quartet tagged for speedy deletion edit

Hi, Thanks for contributing. Can you please review WP:BAND and asser notability for the subject accordingly? Cheers,  :) Dlohcierekim 13:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

How did I do?

I am attempting to create articles on only the most prominent groups in the genre of Southern Gospel.

Daniel J. Mount 13:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your note. I'll have a look. Cheers,  :) Dlohcierekim 13:56, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've de-tagged the thing. That did the trick. Keep adding to the article without getting too spammy and without pasting in reviews and other copyrighted material. Look WP:BAND over and see what you can do. Good luck and happy editing. Cheers,  :) Dlohcierekim 14:04, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! If I can think of anything else to add, I will. Daniel J. Mount 14:06, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Categorizing edit

When you categorize your entries, please do them so that they will alphabetize correctly.

For instance, for Ryan Seaton please put the tag [[Category:Southern gospel performers|Seaton, Ryan]]. Alphabetize by the last name. It makes it so much easier to access.Terrillwhite 09:41, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good point, Terrill. Thanks! Daniel J. Mount 17:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Just thought that it would be easier to pull them up correctly! I fixed them for you already! Have a blessed day! Terrillwhite 06:14, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Steve Lee Proposed Deletion edit

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Steve Lee, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Steve Lee. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Notability of Billy Todd edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Billy Todd, by 65.92.150.231, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Billy Todd seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Billy Todd, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Billy Todd itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:48, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Can you please provide references for the Billy Todd article; I have held off deleting it for now, pending references, as it makes (a so-far unreferenced) claim to notability, but no guarantee that another admin won't see things less leniently. Carlossuarez46 18:57, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Daniel J. Mount! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 940 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Danny Funderburk - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Bill Dykes - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Danny Koker edit

The article Danny Koker has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
