Unsourced information edit

In this edit to Ahmedabad, an IP editor restored a slew of original research regarding the present population of Ahmedabad, contradicting any verifiable sources. The edit summary said "i am not talking about any source here.this is just s information that i got and shared it." Unfortunately, that is not how Wikipedia works. Information in Wikipedia must be verifiable, based on references to reliable sources. Saying "I know this and that's good enough" doesn't cut it. I have commented about this on the IP editor's talk page, but I am also mentioning it here as I presume that, since you introduced the information in the first place, you reintroduced it but forgot to log in first. Hyderabad, India edit

Please follow manual of style while adding content to Wikipedia. The style of writing needs to be encyclopedic in nature and not of forum pages. I've reverted your additions assuming good faith. Do take care of these points before editing the article again. Cheers, Mspraveen (talk) 08:58, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

October 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article List of most populous metropolitan areas in India, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 15:35, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of most populous metropolitan areas in India. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Elockid (Talk) 20:33, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You've already been ask to stop with these disruptive edits when you were not registered previously by SpacemanSpiff (talk · contribs). November 2010 edit

Please stop adding false information and imaginary flights to articles, as you have been doing to the Ahmedabad Airport article. Your edits amount to vandalism, and failure to stop will result in a block. If you feel your additions are valid, please discuss with other editors at the article's talk page before editing further. Thank you. Jasepl (talk) 10:26, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Once again, please do not make further edits or reverts without cause or explanation, and certainly when the information being added is blatantly false or fantastic. Also, note that you are one revert from an automatic block (three or more reverts in a 24-hour period result in such action). Thanks, Jasepl (talk) 10:37, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. AI at AMD edit

As explained to you that although the flight no 191 is designated as AMD-EWR, it is not a direct flight between AMD and EWR. The flight AI-191 is flown using an A320 of IC on the AMD-BOM sector (this flight arrives in the International terminal at BOM) and flown using a B777-200LR on the BOM-EWR sector. So it's quite obvious that there is a change of aircraft required at BOM. AI provides the same code for such flights so that people can make a booking as though they are travelling on a direct flight rather than booking a flight first from AMD to BOM and then from BOM to EWR.

Kindly stop making such edits without knowing any facts.

Do not change the destination until AI starts flying to EWR from AMD using their own aircraft (the airline currently operates only wide-body aircraft).

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Abhishek191288 (talk) 03:17, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Final warning edit

THis is your final warning for continuing to edit war (List of most populous cities in India), add unsourced information to articles (Ahmedabad airport) repeatedly. If you continue to do so you will be blocked. —SpacemanSpiff 21:22, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to User talk:Elockid has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Exactly, how am I making fun of you? Pointing out what's wrong is not making fun of you. Elockid (Talk) 00:15, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, you may be blocked from editing. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at List of most populous cities in India. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Despite repeated warnings, you are continuing to vandalise some article on Wikipedia. If you fail to stop, you will be permanently banned from editing. Abhishek191288 (talk) 13:31, 11 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stop edit

Stop your disruption across multiple articles and discuss on talk pages. Sources don't have to be to your liking, they have to be to Wikipedia's RS policy. If you continue, you will be blocked. —SpacemanSpiff 11:00, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stop vandalising edit

Will you kindly stop vandalising the Ahmedabad Airport article. You cannot cite some personal and unofficial website and claim that AMD is a hub for SpiceJet. Despite several warnings, you are continuously vandalising the article. If you do not stop you will br blocked indefinitely. Learn to adhere to wikipedia's policy of editing before you do so again. January 2011 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, you may be blocked from editing. Abhishek191288 (talk) 12:29, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

I have blocked you for 3 months, but only because you edit very rarely - a shorter block may not have effected your disruptive edits to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. If you were to give an undertaking in your unblock request to gain consensus for your additions to the text, then a reviewing admin may not require my further input. If, however, you simply continue disrupting the encyclopedia once the block expires then it is possible that you will have your editing privileges suspended indefinitely. It is important that your edits are discussed and agreed in future. LessHeard vanU (talk) 12:44, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've reset this block for three months from today for sockpuppeting; see the SPI case. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 20:09, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Last Warning edit

If you continue to make edits using IPs such as 117.198.74.82 (talk · contribs). You will be reported once again. I can see you have also evaded your block while I was away with IPs such as 117.198.74.82 (talk · contribs) and 117.198.87.95 (talk · contribs). Like the investigation, I will include these recent developments in the report. Although you are not blocked currently, you were still blocked at the time of those IPs edited. Since block evasion seems to be a persistent problem, an IP block on your IP range may be implemented. Elockid (Talk) 14:51, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
